Cloud Sky Imager (CSI-50D) is a full-color sky imaging system from ACERAIN, purpose-built for daytime monitoring, delivering stable and accurate information on sky conditions and cloud fields. Built on proven technologies in electronic measurement, data transmission, and control, it offers high reliability, easy maintenance, and seamless scalability for integration with existing systems.

The CSI-50D features a 180° fisheye lens and a 9 MP sensor, enabling single-frame full-sky coverage with fine spatial detail. It supports fully automatic monitoring and brightness-adaptive exposure control, helping to maintain as stable an image quality as possible under varying solar elevation and irradiance conditions. Powered by embedded neural-network algorithms, it provides quantitative cloud cover (total, thick, thin), cloud classification across the ten cloud genera, and sky/weather states (sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, overcast, rain). The platform also supports automatic ground-object removal to improve cloud detection accuracy. Data access and configuration are delivered through an all-in-one, browser-based software platform—no additional workstation or software required. It delivers comprehensive, standardized data outputs tailored to the rigorous requirements of scientific research, photovoltaics, meteorology, and other domains.

180° ultra-wide field of view with a 9MP 1/1.7” sensor. Automatic background removal for high accuracy of cloud cover. Using deep learning, it supports cloud classification and directly provides real-time weather conditions. Support external sensors (up to five Modbus RTU sensors). Harsh environment design -60 ~ 85 Celsius degree and working pressure lower to 400 hpa. Built-in angle correction software, allowing flexible installation and multiple observation modes (solar altitude mode, full-day mode, or time-based mode).
